Let your love be genuine, Abhorring what is evil; Spiritually discipline, In resisting the devil. Show brotherly affection, In loving one another; A heavenly direction, Showing respect and honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, Rather fervent in spirit; Serving the Lord to appeal, Doing all that you merit. Rejoice in your faith and hope, Patient in tribulation; Adversities learn to cope, For a new revelation. Contribute needs for the saints, Showing hospitality; Catering without restraints, Through your cordiality. Bless those who persecute you, Bless and never to curse them; Spiritually to construe, And let the Lord to condemn. Rejoice with those who rejoice, Weep with anyone who cries; In harmony with your voice, Help their faith and hope to rise. Agree with one another, Never be wise in your sight; Not haughty with each other, Rather be a Christian light. Copyright © 2024 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
